Ok george we get the point..... the fact that only 1 in 4 of the eligble voters put a cross next to your name does not give you the right to plunge the world into everlasting darkness by lighting the fires of hell over the hindu kush!!! I know Tony and the guys over in europe (thats that place over the other side of the Atlantic, above africa and below the cold lookin bit on the map) have pledged their undying support for some sort of attack to wipe out a few rag-heads, help rearrange the rubble of Kabul, add a few more craters and produce yet another million or two refugees while satiating the blood-lust of your devoutly christian nation but to start World War 3 is just not on old chap. Sure hope there aern't any lilly-livered gays in that their military george we need real fightin men and women to take on the afghani peasants. Can you please tell me just what this democracy of yours really stands for?? the right to execute by lethal injection anyone on death row? to continue to pollute the worlds atmosphere in the pursuit of rampant capitalism and single-handedly allow global warming to do its own dirty deed? to continuously support lame-duck right-wing governments in order to achieve a more respectable form of terrorism? to treat the rest of the world with utter contempt once you have used us for your own ends? who knows what the real aim is..probably to get a second term in office? We all know that Bertie bin Laden doesn't even exist but is a cartoon character devised by Walt Disney (soon to be chryogenically thawed out again) and Steven Spielberg!! I'm sure that you have only ever made one speech and it's shown over and over again to brainwash us into believing you are the leader of the free world and we must follow, I know you keep getting a standing ovation everytime you make the speech but hey we all know americans would cheer paint drying if it was red, white and blue!! If you are going to have a bash at Afghanistan can you get it over quickly as I am due to fly to Delhi at the end of November and Kuwait Airlines need paying by 18th of October and there is no fuckin way I am going to fly over Iran, Kuwait, Pakistan etc if there are some of your missiles fliying past the starboard bow!!! Will soon be the recipient of a garden shed...can hardly wait...would then like to be known as Glenn "one shed" Showler....isn't capitalism wonderful and a job that gives one the ability to buy a brand new sectionalised shed with apex roof and side door and bullet proof plexi-glass windows is a good one to boot...... Wonder if anyone else watched the recent nightly (for a week) dose of the Old Grey Whistle test on BBC2 that was a real blasto from the pasta and feature amazing performances by Captain Beefheart, Little Feat, Police. U2 etc etc...I actually tried to record them on video but was slapped by some tennis that was on and it was a pathetic attempt of sequencing knowm to man...so when I spotted that it was on a 3 hour DVD I bought one from www.empiredirect.co.uk and got a great deal on a Sony DVD and now don't have to fart about with taping anymore as soon all life and beyond the universe will surely be transfered to DVD for the delectation of all........ To anyone out that that is not yet fully aware I have to inform you all that the family Showler is in limbo and awaiting the arrival (not imminent) of another member of the household...in short....Helen pregnant and baby in the belly........pretty safe with announcing as 13 weeks have elapsed since sperm hit egg and happy to report that shooting with a full magazine and armour piercing squiggly things ...yes yours truly still capable of impregnation.......Helen having a hard time with sickness and psoriasis and tummy expanding at an extraordinary rate.....trying hard to explain the consequences to Dylan but he is oblivious and only interested in Trains (Thomas the tank engine), playing, eating biscuits and watching cartoons...... we are having some excellent discussions on names...I like Rory......well I don't......goes a bit like that..........at the moment Leon is a clear favourite for a boy but if its a lassie then difficulties will occur I'm sure.......whatever happens we are all happy and eager for the birth which will be some time in early April 2002....had a scan the other week and it was truly amazing to see the little things oversized head, arms and legs....another scan in a few more weeks and we don't want to know the sex yet....... you may wonder the implications as I will be approaching 49 when no 2 is born...hey thats the way it has happened so better make the most of it, truth is that Dylan is a wonderful little fella and would have had a much sadder existence without him........however n0 2 will be the last we will have..better get the sutures out and do some ball stitching........ Sadly had to invest in SKY tv to supplement the meagre terrestrial offerings and have managed to watch more football than is healthy for anyone......it is however good to be able to watch live American Footie on a sunday night and after following the NFL for so many years on Channel 4 its great to be able to watch the 49'rs, Bills etc etc again and marvel at the consumate bullshit of the commentators ( John Madden is truly an enigma)...how much do those guys get paid?? maybe they could donate a weeks wages to the New York victims....maybe they allready have.......Spanish footie is really good to watch, I think Pips team are on tonight...Real Sociedad vs Barcelona?? last week Real Madrid beat Espanyol 4 or 5-0 and it was incredible stuff but with Figo and Zidane in the same team hey what gives??? Grimsby just lost 3-2 at Bradford after coming back from 2-0 down to 2-2.......sadly now only 2 points from last 15........In the prem Spurs were up 3-0 at half time (sorry jazz) and ManUtd turned it round to win 5-3 !!! certainly some good games these days...Everton 5 West ham 0.....Not been to a live game this year yet...England play Greece next week at Old trafford and if we win then its hello Japan (or Korea) for the World cup...anyone know what the time diff is?? anyone care?? Well Dylan happy watching Spiderman and Helen at work so must cook tea...Chicken and chips I guess washed down with some refreshingly crisp tasting Strongbow Ice.......oh for a pint of VB........
