Poem:
These Are The Babies
These
are the babies that we never met
These are the babies that we could not forget
These
are the babies held until the end
These are the babies that we could never defend
These
are the babies who died without a name
These are the babies who no-longer fear pain
These
are the babies that live within our hearts
These are the babies that we can never part
These
are the babies we are here for today
These are the babies for whom we should pray

Poem:
Little One
Little one you had only just arrived on this
earth,
made only the first stage of your journey
your story only just begun.
Your life was still only a mountain brook.
You were like snow that has just fallen from
heaven, pure and clean and white.
You were a tender lily whose aroma was still locked
upon its petals.
But
now that candle of your earthly life had gone out,
leaving our world so dark that it seems as if the
sun itself was eclipsedb by your passing.
But we believe that you will shine on us from above,
form the kingdom of light, a kingdom of
timelessness and playfulness,
which seems to have been made especially for little
ones like you.
Blessing

Thank
You
The Executive of PITY II
would like to thank all those who helped and supported us to
complete the burial of the unidentifiable babies at Allerton
Cemetry.
This work could not have
been completed without the help and co-operation of a number
of organisations and individuals.
There are too many to mention
individually, but special thanks must go to Liverpool City Council
for the donation of the land and for the kind assistance of
their cemetry staff, Cheshire and Merseyside Strategic Health
Authority, staff from Glendale's who worked unceasingly in all
weathers and who helped to bury these babies with dignity and
respect and who also landscaped the Memorial Garden.
Cravens Funeral Directors who cared for the babies prior to
their burial. David Hollywood, Stonemason of Manor Monumental
Co. Ltd., who kindly donated the Memorial Stone. Reverend Ian
Lovett, Pat Harvey, Mr. Ali and other clergy for their ministrations
at each funeral service. The Irish Guards Choir and Rebekah
Hawkins who sang so beautifully at the Memorial Service.
Last,
but not least, we must also say thank you to all those who attended
the funeral services alongside us, we have truly appreciated
your support.
