Cardiac Review Meeting

Professor John Ashton, the author of the Cardiac Review Report has said he is happy to meet with parents to discuss the findings of the report.

The purpose of the meeting is mainly for parents whose children were patients of the cardiac unit to have the report explained to them, and ask any questions they wish. Professor Ashton has said he is willing to see parents individually, so if this meeting cannot answer your questions then you can contact him to arrange an individual meeting.

Although all parents are welcome, please bear in mind that Professor Ashton cannot answer anything about organ retention as this is not what he was asked to look at.

Also - no media please. We want parents to be able to ask questions, and not have it hijacked by anyone else.

PITY II (Parents who have Interred Their Young Twice) is the parents' support group set up in the wake of the organ retention scandal
at Alder Hey Hospital (Liverpool, UK). It aims to provide self help support and advice to affected families.
