Why hasn't there been a meeting of the group for such a long time?

For months we have been planning to have a meeting for all the membership of the group when the Inquiry Report has been published and people have had time to read and come to terms with it.

Originally we thought this would be in late August or early September, but as the Inquiry Report has kept being delayed we have had to wait. As soon as we know when the Report will come out we will arrange a meeting for everyone so we can discuss the way forward.

A number of the committee have indicated that they do not want to continue long term, so we will need to organise new committee members and officers as well.

There are regular meetings for parents in St Helens, contact Sheila Rigby, and Preston, contact Denise Foy (both through the office), and all parents are welcome at these.

The committee meetings are also open to any member of the group - please contact the office to find out when the next one is.

PITY II (Parents who have Interred Their Young Twice) is the parents' support group set up in the wake of the organ retention scandal
at Alder Hey Hospital (Liverpool, UK). It aims to provide self help support and advice to affected families.
