The Community Health Council

The Secretary to the group, Wendy Natale, works for Liverpool Eastern Community Health Council (CHC), the patients voice in the National Health Service.

Many of you will have contacted the CHC office, or attended meetings there. Wendy also assists individuals in the group in their dealings with the hospital.

The other members of staff are Kathy Holmes, who is the assistant, and is responsible for the smooth running of the office and helps people with complaints against the NHS, and Dave Berry, the information officer who manages the CHC library. Dave is also responsible for the layout of the newsletter which is posted out to you.

PITY II (Parents who have Interred Their Young Twice) is the parents' support group set up in the wake of the organ retention scandal
at Alder Hey Hospital (Liverpool, UK). It aims to provide self help support and advice to affected families.
