Many of you will remember that one of our members, Denise Green, held an exhibition in Bolton Art Gallery showing pieces of her work related to organ retention. Many families affected by organ retention attended the exhibition over the six- week period that it was open.

One of the pieces of work exhibited was the “Gate of Justice” upon which many families placed a photograph or floral tribute to their child.

We have been advised by Denise that the “Gate of Justice” is to be given a permanent place in Bolton and that there will be a small ceremony to mark this event. We hope to advise you of any further details in our next newsletter.

 

PITY II (Parents who have Interred Their Young Twice) is the parents' support group set up in the wake of the organ retention scandal
at Alder Hey Hospital (Liverpool, UK). It aims to provide self help support and advice to affected families.
