Documentary TV camera & operator

In 2003 two media students from St Helen’s college decided as part of their final piece of work to make a short documentary film about organ retention. They contacted PITY II and asked if we would talk about our experiences.

In August of this year we learnt that their film was to be shown at the FACT film centre in Liverpool as part of a short film festival.

Some members of PITY II went along to see the film and met up with one of students who made the film. We learnt that their work had received the highest commendation from their college. A copy of the film was given to the PITY II executive and if any members would like a copy they will be available shortly for a small donation.

PITY II (Parents who have Interred Their Young Twice) is the parents' support group set up in the wake of the organ retention scandal
at Alder Hey Hospital (Liverpool, UK). It aims to provide self help support and advice to affected families.
