Unidentifiable Babies

We have previously reported that arrangements were being made for the burial of the unidentifiable babies. Progress has been made and the burials process will hopefully begin within the next few weeks.

The university has appointed an undertaker who will ensure that the burials take place with the dignity and respect they deserve.

If you have previously indicated that you would like to be informed of the dates of the burial, a member of the executive will contact you as soon as arrangements are in place. If you have not previously asked to be kept informed and now wish to know the burial details, then please contact the office by mail, phone or email.

PITY II would like to take this opportunity to thank the ladies at 'Material Girls', in Kirkby, Merseyside, for their hard work in preparing some of the wraps that will be used for the burial of these babies.

PITY II (Parents who have Interred Their Young Twice) is the parents' support group set up in the wake of the organ retention scandal
at Alder Hey Hospital (Liverpool, UK). It aims to provide self help support and advice to affected families.
