Liverpool University Liverpool University has consistently refused to meet with PITY II as a group. The committee has had one meeting with representatives from the university, in April 2001, following the Redfern Report. Despite promises to have another meeting, our most recent request has been refused by the University on the grounds that as they are now joined in Legal issues with the Alder Hey Trust, it would not be appropriate to meet with us. Recent media coverage of an incident involving Liverpool University was met with a 'no comment' reaction from them. It is Sixteen
months after the release of the Redfern Inquiry Report and the Follett
Review* was concluded some time
ago. However Liverpool University's own internal inquiry is still
"ongoing." There is no indication as to when it will be
completed, or if it will be made public, when it is completed.
