Demolition
of Myrtle Street
Myrtle Street refers to the building within which many of our children's retained organs were stored. Many parents have expressed a wish for it to be demolished. Liverpool City Council is waiting for the University to confirm their intentions about Myrtle St. before they decide what to do with it. They do not seem to be very hopeful about demolition, as they have no development plans for that area at the moment. If you live in Liverpool it would be a great help if you would contact your local councillors and tell them that you want it demolishing. If you don't know who your councillor is, then ring Liverpool Direct on 0151 233 3000. You could also write to Mike Storey, Leader of Liverpool City Council and contact your MPs. If you don't live in Liverpool, please contact the leader of your local council and ask them to pressure Liverpool City Council to do the decent thing, and write to your MP to ask them as well. Added
