Memorial
Service Update
Several people have indicated that they are keen to get involved with the planning of the memorial service. An open meeting has been arranged on Thursday 17th May 2001, 7.00 pm, in the Western Rooms, Liverpool Cathedral (Anglican). Any member of PITY II can attend this meeting. Afterwards there will be a need for a small group to carry out the detailed work of planning the service, with other meetings held with all those who are interested to feed back, and try to ensure that everyone's wishes are taken into account. If you cannot get to the meeting, but want to be involved, please ensure that the PITY II office has your details. You can also ring, or e-mail, the office with any suggestions, or to raise complaints about the organisation of the service. As yet we do not have a date for the memorial service. It will be the responsibility of the religious leaders to let us have a date that is convenient to them. Although Holy Innocents Day (28th December) was suggested as a possibility, it seems that this is not a good day for many church people. Also, many parents do not seem to think that a service so close to Christmas would not be a good idea. What do you think? Please let us know.
