DNA Testing

The Retained Organs Commission is still considering whether to support DNA testing of organs to check which children they belong to.

They are waiting for further scientific information on how likely it is to succeed. In the meantime, you may have heard that Nina Morton, one of the Co-ordinators from the Wirral, arranged her own DNA testing with a private laboratory. 8 samples were taken. After the first sample was tested, no DNA was found, so further tests were being done. We will let you know whether these work
