The hospital just opened a new OB wing and our members have contributed to get the department furniture items, a CD player and music for the newborns.

We have a food shelf donation drive for Hastings Family Service, as well as a school supply drive and clothing drive.  Our members also make up birthday bags for the children.  Each bag has a cake mix, frosting and party favors  In December, our members participate in a Holiday dinner delivery program.

Recently, the MOMS Club of Hastings - East sponsored a book drive for this battered women's shelter.

We give monetary donations to the following groups: United Methodist Church (they let us use their facilities for our meetings for free), Mother to Mother fund (if a mom finds herself in financial difficulties she can petition the fund for some finances), Safe Place for Newborns (which allows Moms to drop off her baby within the first 48 hours of life and not face abandonment charges).

We collect General Mills box tops (worth 10 cents each), Kemps milk caps (worth 5 cents each), and Campbell soup labels. Although nickels and dimes doesn't sound like much, our collection can translate to great merchandise for our schools.
