Love Is
Love is a dewdrop on a delicate rose petal
Shimmering, quivering in the early morning sunlight
Love is the sound of a new born's cry
Filling the air with his arrival into an unknown world
Love is staring endlessly into each others eyes
Over long forgotten, stone cold, cups of instant coffee
Love is the wind rustling through the leaves of the old oak tree
Standing tall and magestic despite of all life's struggles
Love is the smile on a trusting child's face
Sitting happy and content in father's protective lap
Love is much more then emotion
It runs strong and so deep
Stronger then a river's current
And deeper then the sea
As unfathonable as the universe
And as high as the stars
Love is more then we can even imagine
And will take more then a life time, for us to experience it all...
A Dream My Heart Once Made
I closed my eyes and dreamed a dream
I wish it would come true
I hoped and prayed and crossed my heart
It had to do with you
I dreamt of a time, a place, a man
The one God wants for me
A wonderful man, a loving man
I wonder, who can this be?
His gentle touch, his soft spoken words
His smile that makes my heart sing
I long for his arms, my lips for his kiss
My finger longs for his ring
This man is you, the Lord told me so
He will make this true, you'll see
He will take this dream my heart once made
And will turn it into His reality!
Waiting For You
My heart is full, my eyes brim over
In my tummy, butterflies roam free
My hands go clammy, my pulse it quickens
For soon he'll be with me
I look at my watch a thousand times
And check to see if it's right
The time it moves so slowly
I'm sure I've been waiting all night!
I close my eyes and think of him
A smile spreads across my face
His gentle lips are touching mine
My heart begins to race
I open my eyes, then I go red
For what do my starry eyes see?
My darlings here, he caught me dreaming
He's standing in front of me!!
Hoping
Hoping to see you smile
Especially for me
Hoping to see your eyes light up
When you think of me
Hoping for your kiss
To touch these lips of mine
Hoping to hold you close to me
'Till the end of time
Hoping for your love
To wash waves over me
Hoping for your tenderness
To set my spirit free
Hoping to spend my life with you
Both joy and the pain
Hoping for our lives to be touched
And never be the same
Ping Pong Ball
My love is like a ping pong ball
Oh let me count the ways
He's pure and light as the ball
And brightens up my days
Our love is like the ping pong ball
It has no beginning or no end
And as the ball goes on and on
So will you and I, my friend
Our love is like the ping pong ball
We get battered around alot
But like the ball, we still come back
To give it another shot

When I think of you
My mind just floats away
I dream of holding you
And kissing you each day
Waking by your side
Being held so snug and safe
Watching you as you sleep
Looking upon your face
There's a smile curving your lips
Are you dreaming of me?
I don't want to wake you yet
So I'll have to wait and see
You giggle in your sleep
And hold me closer yet
I kiss you oh so gently
But, it'll wake you, I bet!!
Night Time Blessings
May the Sandman dance so gently
Over your eye lids shut up tight
May the good Lord bless your sleep
And may you dream of me just right
May you wake refreshed tomorrow
With a smile upon your face
May you be renewed and ready
To run life's maddening race!!
I'll Take The Little Things
Love can't be bought
With diamonds and gold
My love is given freely
Not purchased and sold
When asked what I want
To show that you care
To show that you love me
To know that you're there
I don't want a mansion
A great house on a hill
I don't need any riches
Of that I've had my fill!
I pray for the little things
The simple ones in life
For you to hold me closely
To whisper "I love you wife"
A tickle on my ribs
A wrestle on the bed
For you to make me laugh
That's when I am fed
I'd love for your voice
To gently caress my name
A cruise in the Bahamas
Would not be the same
A single red rose
A kiss on my cheek
Little things like this'll
Keep me going for a week!
So when you are wanting
To express how you feel
I love all the little things
They show me you're real!!

Waves crash in time with my heart beat
Seagulls cry out your name
I sit on the sand as I watch the sunset
You're not here, it's just not the same
Hermit crabs scurry to their hiding places
Children build sand castles high
I look for you in each face that I see
The sun has set, evening is nigh
Beach campers build fires on the shore
Night fishermen cast out their lines
I see you walk slowly towards me
I search your face for a sign
You sit down on the sand and take my hand
And snuggle your head against mine
No words are spoken, no need for them really
I love you for now and all time!

To love from a whole heart
And now I feel so free
I thought my heart was cold
And hope in me did die
My trust had gone astray
I couldn't even try
My life was lost and empty
My spirit gone ashore
I couldn't even figure out
What love was even for
But then You came along
And helped me find a way
To put the pieces back
And help me face the day
Love From A Battered Heart
My life was full of clouds
The years were full of pain
I would just wake up each morning
With nothing else to gain
Who could love this tortured spirit?
Who could give me joy?
Who could help me trust again?
Was my poor hearts ploy
Just when life was more then bleak
And dusk was on my soul
You brought the daybreak into my life
And now I feel so whole
I love You from a battered heart
Who's learning to trust once more
You've given me a reason to hope again
And have opened up the door

With every sweet word that you say

When you want to take part in my day
To the depths of my soul you touch me
When our future we plan long into night

When you say we have to do it right

When God's words are the ones that you say
