This humble page is dedicated to people I know and people who might visit my page and get pissed if they don't see anything about them. Since nearly all of them are organized into a complicated caste system, here are a few abbreviations that should help the uninitiated one:

CCC - Cape Cod Crew. These are the people who have spent some time at our usual summer haunt of Cape Cod.
TC - Theater Crew. These are the people that were part of the renowned "New Enterprise" Russian theater. It was through this theater that I met many people on this page.
KBH - These people played on the Boston University KBH team (I am not going to explain this).
SPC - Starik Pohabych Collective. From humble beginnings, this parody-writing organization grew large and prosperous. "Starik Pohabych ih zametil, y v grob shodya, blagoslovil"
FC - Football Crowd. Those brave souls that are always ready to play.
PFC - Patriots Fan Club - true fans of the New England Patriots.
FP - Forum Parasites - Successfully devouring Russian discussion forums.
ADD - AD&D Crew - Not people suffering from Attention Deficit Disorder (although sometimes confused as such), these folks play AD&D and don't take it too seriously... well, most of the time.
LNA - Leniniana - "Volnuet menya tolko odno..." These people share an unhealthy obsession with Leniniana, a cult mix of old Lenin movies. As with most of the stuff here, you either get or you don't.
- Kozly - A powerful and noble organization
- Marazm - These people are members of the marazm network.

So let's give a warm round of applause for...

Dmitry "Bulych" "Bulka" Bulatov Picture

First and foremost, my best friend Bulka, currently residing in Wurzburg, Germany. Me and him go waaay back to my Russian days, and our friendship remains strong as ever through the myriad of letters and phone calls between us. He is my regular travelling partner with whom I visited most of Europe already. Even more amazingly, he now has his own page, too. Laptevka forever!

Valentin "Val" Faybushevich CCC, TC, KBH, BS, FC, ADD. Picture

Val is a budding poet of his generation and a person whose sense of humor only rivals mine. Val is also a very good guitar playa, and the cornerstone of CCC. My props! Now you can check out his page here

Alex "he is good" Furman CCC, BS, SPC, PFC, FC, ADD, FP. Picture

Alex is a person of unquestioned moral character, a man of principle and integrity. His long list of achievements is simply beyond the scope of this page. Currently he is residing in San Diego, engaging in the pursuit of Marazm. He is the founder of the Marazm Network and owner of the best domain name ever, www.marazm.com

Volodya "Bob Sergeich" "Filya" "Guinni Pu" Buldyrev CCC, TC, BS, SPC, PFC (Membership under review) , LNA, FC, FP . Picture

"Y se llama, Gwinni Pu... o Pu!". A genius, a scholar, and a talented artist , Volodya was a star of the Theater. Now on his way to becoming the coolest librarian in the universe.

Ilya "Zio" "Olen' " Buldyrev CCC, TC, BS, SPC, BAC, FP, LNA Picture

Zio (brother of Volodya) is quite simply the nicest guy you'll ever meet. A good friend and person, he is back in Boston working in a lab, where he spends way too much time on various experiments. Zio was our Theater's franchise - playing two leading roles and getting the crowd's sympathies in the third (as a lovable deer). His outdoors abilities and his levelheaded attitude help make our Cape a success.

Alex "Skamushkis" "Devil" Ivanov CCC, PFC, FC. Picture

Skamushkis is the king of cards, pool and any other game imaginable. As far as I am concerned, he is the only true fan of the Patriots (along with me). Possessing uncanny luck, he is most certainly the Antichrist and he loves it.

Donal "The few, the proud" Kerrigan CCC, PFC (Membership under review) , FC.

Donal is the only non-Russian in our little group. He clearly saw that Americans were simply too shallow and empty, and wisely chose only the best. Donal is the funniest person you'll ever meet. A proud Irishman and a Marine, he will always remain my love!

Fyodor "Fedya" "Spat, spat, spat!" Kondrashov CCC, BS, SPC, ADD, LNA Picture

Fedya has tried long and hard to keep our Russian roots alive. A great singer and guitar playa, and a future Nobel winner in biology (it is only a matter of time), Fedya is now working for the National Institutes of Health (Washington, DC), which is entirely composed of Russian scientists.

Liza "ain't no white" Shakhnovich CCC, BAC

Liza is my girl #1. A Cape Cod mainstay and the founder of the Black Awareness Club, she now imparts wisdom upon her Harvard classmates, and occasionally graces us with her presence.

Ilya "Leskov" Leskov CCC

Ilya is simply a genius, a man who excels at all disciplines. Me and him are also old friends, and have shared many an exciting Warlords game. Now saving lives as an EMT (god help the poor souls), engaging in ballroom dance, and generally doing way too much... stuff.

Eugene "Zhenya" Slaven TC, BS, FC.

Zhenya is my boy! A very talented actor, who shined in our plays, Zhenya is also an athlete of high caliber. I have warm memories of us hanging out on the Cape together, or impersonating Beavis and Butthead.

Dimitar "Dimi" Zlatev FC, PFC

Dimi is the "Bulgarian", although he is amazingly good at Russian. A proven football star and a fierce competetitor, he is always dangerous on the field... and off it.

Bella "Bella Bella" "Bellka" "Dulsineya" Goldberg CCC, BS, SPC, FP, LNA Picture

Coming from the frozen wasteland of Ekaterinburg, Bella has a great sense of humor, mainly because it resembles mine so much. This unique quality has led us to create such masterpieces as the recurring "Misha & Bella Show", a feature film, and a myriad of inside jokes. Great friend and creative partner!!! Also the creator of a very special scarf... Now studying feminism and other equally important subjects at a way too hip urban college (Emerson). Addicted to Fotki

Esther "Esya" Rivkina CCC, KBH Picture

As if being from Ekaterinburg was not enough, Esya was also a math major in MIT! Nevertheless, she is a great friend of mine and a gracious hostess. Her academic successes are legendary, and she has already gained considerable fame in the KBH circuit. Introduced us to the phenomena of "low stars" and "Kobordism"

Dina "Kakaya Prelest'" Brodskaya CCC, SPC, FP, ADD, LNA Picture

Dina, whose wit and penchant for adventure are extraordinary, has also been widely referred to as "The Queen of the Russian Table". Her 1998 birthday party was legendary, as was the title of her college essay. Spent spring 2001 in Amsterdam - and was featured on the Dutch version of "Real World" - amazing! The first person to go on record about liking Umass, a devoted hitchiker (with sometimes disastrous results) and bestselling painter (seriously).

Alyonka Filippova CCC, KBH

A great dancer who has made sporadic and hopeless attempts to get me to learn to dance, she along with Esya has been a shining star of KBH. Truly, my favorite redhead!

Matvei "Motya" "Zhihar'" Belyanin FP, ADD Picture

A real "presence" in more ways than one, Matvei also happens to be a talented singer, guitar player, and a promising comedic star. Shocking? Perhaps... Loud? Absolutely... Great guy? Most definitely.

Alina Feldman CCC, BS, FP, ADD Picture

Someone who at some point in her life was in possession of such animals as a furry fish, a gerbil named Fred, a perpetually drunk kitten, and a gay mouse, has got to be cool. But being a girlfriend of The Mack dispels any last doubts one may have. Co-creator of the "sheep" phenomenon and co-founder of the West Coast branch of the Crew.

Timur Lesov CCC Picture

He is from Toronto (almost as bad as Ekaterinburg). Oh wait, he is also from Ekaterinburg. So it is not a surprise that he was the one to show us all what it means to "go north". Great cook (a true rarity among the Crew) and a misguided Toronto sports fan in the heart of Boston. Has been known to drive at speeds approaching the sound barrier.

Masha Tsukernik CCC Picture

A fellow Muscovite, a geography major that went from Moscow State University to UMass without missing a beat, and a hiker whose skills dwarf those of some other people on this page, Masha spends about as much time in Russia as she does here. Which makes me suspect that she is not really an immigrant, but an actual Russian. Currently studying geography at Colorado, putting Boulder on the map.

Maria "Mashkins" Neverova ADD, CCC Picture

The latest addition to the Crew tilts the balance significantly towards Moscow... as well as... (sob) towards programmers. Well, at least she is not one yet. With an unexplained preference for IHOP, Masha is also widely believed to be the first Russian immigrant to have embraced hip-hop immediately upon arrival. Check out her fotki.

Alex "Sasha" Neverov CCC Picture

Yet another Alex, this one is actually Sasha and is married, understandably, to Masha. Among his first experiences in America were getting a bad case of poison ivy and falling from favor with the Cape rangers. Frequently refers to his state as "very vegetable".

Inna Lipchin CCC, ADD, LNA Picture

A talented photographer who has sadly abandoned her art in pursuit of more exact sciences, Inna also shares my passion for "Y Tu Mama Tambien" and various Latino music associated with it. Our very own spy at Brandeis.

Masha "Bunny" Furman CCC, LNA Picture

Another Umass student and the Mack's little sister. Has gone on record as wanting to spend her entire life on the beach at Cape Cod. Also managed to be the person who dragged me to my first nightclub - an experience neither of us will soon forget.
