How The Shows Operate
We run two types of shows, pen shows and table shows. Pen shows are more formal and challenge certificates are awarded. When an exhibit accumulates a certain number of challenge certificates, it is eligible to apply to be a champion. Exhibits at pen shows are penned and handled by stewards during the judging process. Pen shows usually start at 9.30 am and attract a larger number of entries. Table shows are less formal and no CC's are awarded. They are ideal for new exhibitors gain experience regarding how shows operate. They usually are smaller in number of exhibits.
Star ratings describe the importance of a show, the higher the star rating, the more important the show.. The maximum star rating is four and there is only one four star show held in Victoria- the Royal Melbourne Show.
