Stone Hill Science Fiction Association hosts Necronomicon:
Stone Hill's NecronomiCon is held near Tampa, Florida every October. It is a miracle of fun that the good people of Stone Hill manage to pull off every year! We've been attending so long, we no longer tell people what year we started showing up.
Necronomicon, affectionately called "Necro" by most of us, was named for references made by H.P. Lovecraft in his spooky stories. It was supposed to be a book of magic so powerful that any human reader was immediately driven mad. We all need our hobbies, eh? The Association takes its name from a story by Jules Verne who never visited Florida and didn't know there are no hills in Tampa. Oh, well!
Stone Hill's charity is near and dear to our hearts, "Wildlife Rescue". Stone Hill maintains a page for Burt Wahl and his animals.

The convention is a lot of fun and it is held every May. There is a lot to see, to do, and there's always hanging out in the con suite, chatting and munching. The charity is the Andre Norton Scholarship Fund, a worthy cause and dear to our hearts because it is dedicated to education and honors our hero, writer Andre Norton.
