Dark-eyed Junco

Dark-eyed Juncos are very common in suburban woodlands and residential areas in our region in late fall through to early spring.  During this (non-breeding) time, their calls are simple chips.  They are local migrants, breeding in the spring and summer in nearby treed hills and mountains and inland forests, where the songs on this track can be heard.
