A Plan differs from a Lay-out in 4 aspects:-
1. Here, rooms and other spaces are drawn to scale - so one can
compare, at a glance, the areas of these precisely.
2. Instead of single lines, wall thickness is drawn to scale as double-
lines and pillars, columns etc. will also be shown to the scale.
IMPORTANT :- This really does matter, since the space we imagine will be more, if you just look at
a simple Lay-out. The actual area/space will be less than that when built. So, a Lay-out should be
used only as a guidance to the relative positions of various rooms.
3. Positions of doors, windows, ventilators, openings (like stair, lift,
arches) will be shown in a Plan.
4. Room sizes (in Metres/Feet etc.) along with room name, sizes of
doors etc., areas of each floor (Sq.m/Sq.feet) are indicated, AND...
each floor is drawn separately.
