"WINSTON"
Ch Imoen First Appearance
6 August 2001 - 11 August 2008

Winston was my first born baby, my baby boy from my very first litter. He appeared at 12:30am on 6 August 2001 as a large puppy. He was always the largest in the litter and always a gentle puppy!

Winston turned Seven years old on Wednesday 6 August 2008. I came home late that day to find Winston lame in the rear legs. A vet visit on Thursday and a return visit on the Friday showed that he was suffering from fusion of the spine in seveal places, through past injuries, so he was placed on steriods.
By the Saturday he had developed a cough, which got worse on the Sunday. I woke to find Winnie outside unable to move on the Monday morning... I figure he knew that this would be the last sunrise that he would see and he wanted to see it....

Later that Monday, I picked him up, took him outside and we spent his last sunset together. We had the most peaceful moment together....

On the Monday night Winston was sent to bumwiggle over the rainbow bridge. He was in pain and not able to be saved as the cough was pneumonia. I have always said that I will not knowingly let my babies suffer.
It is heartbreaking to know that you are saying goodbye to a baby you don't want to lose...

This was the hardest thing I have ever had to do... Winston was my baby boy and always will be...

I miss seeing him greet me at the front gate each day with his bumwiggles, and how he was always willing to give me kisses.... But, I have the hope he is bum wiggling over the Rainbow Bridge waiting for me to join him..... Rest in Peace Baby boy.... We all miss you and Soda misses snuggling with both you and me on the bed at night... Until we are together again. I will always love you!

- ZELDA -
"Imoen Dreams Come True"
15 June 2007 - 4 June 2008

Zel was born here at Imoen Boxers and will be cherished always.
At the age of 6 months of age I decided that I couldn't keep her and her sister together anymore as they were not getting along, and decided to rehome Zelda.....

Zel went to live in the best of homes with Cleo, Carter, Mel and Michael at the age of 6 months, where she was spilot rotten, which is what you want for your pups.
3 weeks ago after a few "girl" complications, Zel came back to be part of the Imoen Gang again....She was living the life, and lapping it up here as part of the Imoen family!

Zel was great at obedience and doing well in the show ring until all hell broke loose.....

On 4 June 2008, Zel was diagnosed with Chronic Renal failure, with no alternatives, Mel, Michael and myself were faced with the ineviatable.

Zelly was sent to the rainbow bridge here at Imoen Boxers in the loving arms of Mel, Michael, Ali (BullsRKool Bullmastiffs, who helped deliver her as a baby and show her on occassion) and myself.

Zelly was taken from us too young, but I have comfort in knowing that she lived a great life while she was with us.....Go bounding over the rainbow bridge baby girl and we will meet you there sometime in the future.......

"HOLLY"
- 15 June 2007 - 10 July 2008 -

Holly was the baby girl owned by Fiona, Tim and Tigga. She was much loved by all of them and is also sadly missed.

Holly met her end when a someone couldn't be bothered stopping when hitting her with their car. Thank fully there was a Lady who saw her be hit who rushed her to help, but unfortunatley it was too late....
Every owners worst nightmare, getting that phone call to tell you that your baby has been hit by a car and died. Hopefully she didn't suffer any.
She is now over the bridge with her sister Zel.....
Both of them are waiting for their loved ones to join them at the right time......

....Rest in Peace Baby girl.... Until we meet again....

THIS POEM IS IN YOUR MEMORY
Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When that Boxer baby girl dies, that has been especially close to those here, she goes to the Rainbow Bridge.

There are meadows and hills for all of our Babies so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our Boxer babies are warm and comfortable. All the kids who had been ill or those who are old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.

Our Boxer babies are happy and content, except for one small thing: they miss the ones very special to them who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when they suddenly stop and looks into the distance.

The nose twitches and that bum wiggles wildly! The ears are forward and the eyes are staring! And then they sudenly break away from the group, flying over the green green grass, their legs carrying them faster and faster and that bum wiggling more than ever!

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet again, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.

The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the eyes of your trusting friend so long gone, but never absent from the heart.

Then, you cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never again to be separated.
