The Capital City Figure Skating Club (CCFSC) is an amateur, non-profit social and athletic organization that has been in existence in Sacramento since 1941. During this time, the CCFSC has sponsored and participated in numerous figure skating competitions, ice shows and exhibitions. Many past and current Club skaters have followed skating careers as coaches, judges, and/or professionals in the Ice Capades, Disney On Ice, and other well-known ice productions. Currently, CCFSC has approximately 132 members. Our principal headquarters is Skatetown in Roseville. We also have a presence at Iceland in Sacramento.

CCFSC is affiliated with the United States Figure Skating Association (USFSA). Most of the Club members are recreational or competitive skaters who participate in various local and regional USFSA sanctioned competitions, including the Central Pacific Regional and Pacific Coast Sectional championships. Based on its size, the Club has four delegates that vote on USFSA proposals each year. CCFSC is also a member of the Central California InterClub Association (CCIA) that represents the viewpoints of 13 central California clubs. CCFSC’s four CCIA delegates contribute to the development of recommendations for central California club issues and proposed rule changes to USFSA.

In addition to providing Club ice time and testing opportunities for its members, CCFSC promotes figure skating by holding various competitions, sponsoring special Club Night social activities and events through the CCFSC Junior Board, providing Club members with the monthly Ice Chips newsletter, and holding monthly Board of Directors and parents meetings to assist new members with questions.
