Result Analysis I

* Comparison of men and women on their general thoughts about cohabitation

1. What do you think about cohabitaion?
Both show positive attitudes toward cohabitation itself. However, it is interesting no women, who were expected to be more reserved, said it is negative, while 15% of men answered it is. Some men still keep their conservative thinking. Considering cultural difference, among the respondents who answered "negative," 40% are from Korea.

2. How many of your friends are cohabitating?
I presumed that in general, people share their sexual life with same sex friends. Women said that most of their friends are not cohabitating, but I guess that's because women tend to keep their privacy without talking about sexual relationship to others, while men are quite open. The male oriented atmosphere (socially, culturally) would cause such a different tendency between genders.

3. If you were to cohabitate whould you divide housework evenly with your partner?
Almost half the men do not think about sharing housework with their partners, while most women do. This different attitude can make their relationship when cohabiting end up miserable.

4. Do you think the media influences your opinion about cohabitaion?
Males seem to be more influenced by their parents and friends. Again, men are likely to share their cohabitating experience in public, while women aren't. Moreover, we can see cultural differences between Asians and Europeans. Many Asian men thought the media affects them about cohabitation. (Among the respondents who said "Yes," 70% are from Asia)
