The story of Hilight Tribe, is that of  meetings of destiny that little by little, shaped the identity of a group. Spawned in Paris five years ago, Hilight Tribe was created thanks to the dual efforts of Ludo and Greg. The group was rounded out by successive arrivals of bassist Rishnu, and percussionist Roots. Enthused by their performances, Seb, drummer joined the band. Their meeting with Terrence, percussionist and effects, proved to be a decisive one. It has crafted a universe and musical grab bag founded on the rhythms based on traditional ethnic music and new electronic sounds. Singers and songwriters, they take advantage of every musical possibility at their disposal, teaming with accomplices as varied as African percusionnist, indian musician or techno artists in major part met in Ibiza. Flirting with indian, thai, and even trance and techno music, their first album separates itself from  the common. Unique and unclassifiable, is also the first act to be signed on the Kosmik Hoboes label.

Ever since, Hilight Tribe has covered major trance parties in France and Ibiza, to the venues’delight, the band retaining their pronunced taste for the adrenaline that it gets from performing in public. The stage remains their best platform. Various performances followed: D- Mention, Gaia, Pow Wow festival, Zen 99, or on a detour via Hungary for the Solipse festival where we find them on TBE-GAIA to enjoy the new millenium.

Years of complicity that we find on the next album which will be released in 2000.

L’histoire de Hilight Tribe, c’est la rencontre de destins qui petit à petit, a construit l’identité du groupe. Né à Paris, il y a cinq ans, Hilight Tribe a été crée grace aux doubles efforts de Ludo et Greg. Le groupe a été forgé par les arrivées successives du bassiste Rishnu, et du percussioniste Roots. Enthousiasmés par leurs performances, Seb, batteur rejoint le groupe. La rencontre avec Terrence, percussioniste et effets, s’averera décisive. Ils ont été influencé par un univers et un bagage musical basé sur les rythmes ethniques traditionnelles et les nouveaux sons électroniques. Auteurs et compositeurs, ils profitent de toutes les ressources musicales à leurs dispositions, teaming avec la collaboration aussi variés que des percussionistes africains,  musiciens indiens ou artistes techno en majeure  partie rencontrée à Ibiza. Flirtant avec la musique indienne, thai, mais aussi trance et techno, leur premier album sort du commun. Unique et inclassifiable, c’est aussi le premier album signé par le label Kosmik Hoboes.

Depuis, Hilight Tribe a assuré les plus grandes fêtes trance en France et à Ibiza, pour notre plus grand plaisir, le groupe a un gout prononcé pour l’adrénaline que lui procure leurs performances en public. La scène demeure leur meilleur plate-forme. Diverses performances : D-Mention, Gaia, Pow Wow festival, Zen 99, ou dans un détour via la Hongrie pour le Solipse festival où vous avez pu les retrouver. Pour jouir du millénium, ils étaient présent à la TBE-GAIA, OSMOSE 2000 à Alfort.
