About Us
In Loving Memory of My Princess, Rachel. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of you, you hold my heart. |
Shabri's
Gonna Get You TD "We who choose to surround ourselves with lives even more temporary than our own live within a fragile circle, easily and often breached.
Unable to accept its awful gaps, we still would live no other way.
We cherish memory as the only certain immortality, never fully understanding the necessary plan." (Taken from a tribute by Greg Brocato in memory of Southpaw Sparkling Burgundy)
Rachel, was the baby of our family, she was born on April 28, 2001 along with her 10 siblings to Ch. Orions Jaeger V Reiteralm CD, TD, MH & Ch. Shabri’s Bit O’Country Charm. Rachel was the pest of Grayce and Miller, Abbie’s little sister and my Princess Rachel, Queen of the World.
Rachel was showing in the Bred By Class and training for her advanced tracking titles (TDX & VST) at the time of her death. Our goal was to try and become the first Weimaraner to complete the challenge of Tracking Champion and on her first attempt at her TD she charged through bone chilling winds and knee deep snow to reach the glove, and at both the first TDX & VST tests we were in, she did awsome. In my heart she will always be my Champion.
At 2 years old, she was just getting started. We wanted to complete in all venues and we would have. She was my baby, my heart and my future in Weimaraners. I’ll miss our “Miss You Monday’s”, snowy cold training mornings and snuggles before bedtime.
Rachel was a pleasure to live with, and she holds a special piece of my heart that I will not get back. I was honored to hold her when she entered this world and when she left it.
Rachel was active in
birdwork, showing, tracking and had started SAR and obedience training.
