Great Gaming Midis (20-12-2003)

This site has been online for two years now and this is the 90-100th update. So I thought it would be great to have an all mp3 update. Since these take longer to download all of them are of good quality(according to me).

1.Blue Fields

=>From Final fantasy IX. It is the piano version of this masterpiece. There is no great tune or catchy theme here. The reason why this is a great piece of music lies in the craft and the development of the music. Wonderfully restrained and expertly steered it will enter your system if you give it a chance. Serene music.

2.Resurrection

=> From Xenosaga. The overwhelming power of the human voice is at full force here in this short piece. Usually I dont like vocals in a song but there are no lyrics here only music. It is a powerful melody which creates an atmosphere arond itself which is astounding. It puts you inside a sacred holy world like a cathedral.

3.The breaking of the fellowship

=> From the Lord of the Rings. A medley of sorts of the best moments in the film all combining into a 7 minute long epic song performed by a symphony with female vocals in the end.

4.Temple of Bu

=> From Twinsen's Odyssey. This was the first adventure game I ever played and will always remain special to me. The music in the desert temple was one of the games best. There is a fast moving background melody coupled with a powerful symphony in the foreground. A well realised tune.

5.Scenery Of Spira

=> From Final Fantasy X. The magic of the acoustic guitar beautifully realised in the spanish sounding tune.

6.Shion

=> The main theme of Xenosaga. Sorrow flows out of every note in this piano version.

7.You are not alone

=> A lighter tune with a catchy theme and a good build up. Nobou Uematsu special.

8.Zanarkand

=> Another beautiful piano solo. Extremely well crafted and has some brilliant melodies.

9.Celtic Moon

=>The main theme of FFIV in celtic format. Has a good part in the middle.

10.Battle

=>From Xenosaga. Another amazing piece of music where the main tune which breaks out amidst all the chaos is almost the best standdout tune tune I have heard for a long time.
