Episode 2: The World's Greatest Magician

The sky was bright and sunny, and there were a few birds flying high. Dorothy and Seravi's castle came into view. Inside, Dorothy and Seravi were having breakfast around a table. Dorothy looked up at Seravi.

Dorothy: Seravi dear, I still don't think you should give up your title as world's greatest magician.
Seravi: I've told you before Dorothy. I want to spend more time teaching our children magic. I don't want to be challenged anymore.
Dorothy: Who will become world's greatest magician then?
Seravi: That is up to the Umpire...

Suddenly in a puff of smoke, Sherwin the umpire showed up.

Sherwin: What is this? Seravi doesn't want to be the world's greatest magician and has decided to retire. Who will be the next world's greatest magician? Let's check the rulebooks.

Dorothy and Seravi sipped their tea while Sherwin checked his rulebook. When he finally found it, he loudly proclaimed.

Sherwin: Ahah! The new world's greatest magician is the no.1 contender, the last person to officially fight Seravi in a magical title match.
Seravi looked up surprised.
Seravi: That would mean that...

In the forest, Kyle in his green hat, sat behind a row of bushes and looked at Yakko picking up herbs over a distance. He wished that she would notice him. Suddenly Sherwin, Seravi and Dorothy appeared.

Sherwin: Kyle! You are now the world's greatest magician! How do you feel?

Kyle was taken aback.

Kyle: Wha... Isn't Seravi the world's greatest magician?
Seravi: I've decided to retire. You were the last person to fight me so by right you are now the world's greatest magician.

Yakko suddenly ran in front of Kyle, bumping him into the bushes.

Yakko: Oh Seravi, say it isn't true. You aren't giving up your title as world's greatest magician...
Seravi: But I am Yakko.
Yakko looked menacingly at Dorothy.
Yakko: You must have done this. First you steal my Seravi, and now you are forcing him to retire...

Dorothy shouted back at Yakko.

Dorothy: What are you talking about, crazy girl?!

Seravi decided to calm things down.

Seravi: No one forced me to retire Yakko. I am tired of being world's greatest magician that's all.
Yakko: Oh Seravi, it won't be the same. Who will be the world's greatest magician after you?
Seravi: Kyle.

Everyone looked at Kyle who was struggling out of the bushes and putting his hat on correctly.

Sherwin: Do you Kyle, accept the title as world's greatest magician?

Kyle looked at Yakko before replying.
Kyle: I do...

Yakko's head grew large as she shouted at Kyle.

Yakko: Don't you dare!!!
Seravi: Yakko. Kyle has to accept the title, if not...
Yakko: If not what, Seravi?
Sherwin: You must challenge Kyle for the title.

Yakko looked at Kyle. 

Yakko: I'll do it. Kyle I challenge you for the title of world's greatest magician.

Kyle looked at all of them. He hugged Yakko [much like how Seravi hugged Dorothy when she challenged him to a title fight while they were just kids.]

Kyle: Oh Yakko, I can't do it.

Yakko's famous temper exploded.

Yakko: You will fight me...
Kyle: No.
Sherwin: Then it is settled. Kyle is the world's greatest magician. Bye.

The three of them disappeared, leaving Kyle and Yakko behind.
Far away, Pikkapom read the newspapers. He came across an interesting article.

Pikkapom: What's this? Seravi has retired as the world's greatest magician? 

Pikkapom's eyes grew watery. 

Pikkapom: At last. Now the title can be mine again. After so long.

Pikkapom flashbacked to how he lost to Seravi and how he had lost his gorgeous hair. After the flashback, he looked at the papers again.

Pikkapom: What? This young kid is the world's greatest magician? Kyle?

There was an evil gleam in his eyes.

Pikkapom: Hahaha... Kyle, now you have to face the wrath of Pikkapom!

Thunder and lightning flashed in the background.

Back in Urara's School of Magic, There was a huge gathering of photographers and journalists, all wanting to take pictures of Kyle. Kyle was in turn being surrounded by his friends, most notably Cha Cha, Riiya and Shiine.

Shiine: Congratulations Kyle, who would have thought that you would be the world's greatest magician?
Cha Cha: Yes, Kyle. I'm so happy for you.
Riiya: Kyle should show us his magic.
Shiine: Hush up Riiya.

Suddenly a loud shout could be heard from across the school. A giant dust cloud slowly revealed Marine running towards Riiya and the gang.

Marine: Riiya, oh my darling Riiya. How I missed you, why didn't you write to me?

She opened her eyes and there was only the damn fluffy white dog there. Riiya transformed into his wolf form, and his eyes were large and shiny.

Riiya: Feed me.

Marine turned towards Cha Cha and pulled her cheeks wide apart.
Marine: What have you done to my Riiya, Cha Cha? Where are you hiding him?
Cha Cha: Mmmph mmmph mmmph...

Marine pulled Cha Cha's cheeks even wider apart.

Marine: What? Stop mumbling Cha Cha!
Shiine: Marine! Don't do that.

Suzu stepped out of Shiine's shadow.

Suzu: That's right Marine. That hurts.
Marine: I don't care. She's hiding my Riiya from me and I won't let go until I find him.

Riiya changed back into his human form beside Shiine. Marine let go of Cha Cha and hugged Riiya. Suzu iced down Cha Cha's cheeks while Shiine pondered aloud.

Shiine: I wonder where Yakko is.

Yakko was climbing a giant tree. She tried to grab the next branch all the while grumbling to herself.

Yakko: Grumble grumble... That Kyle has some nerve being world's greatest magician... grumble grumble. Now where's that leaf?

Yakko's hands reached out and grabbed the next branch, except it wasn't a branch, it was somebody's leg. Yakko was so startled, she let go and fell down to the ground.

Yakko: What's the big idea?

She looked up and saw the man standing on the branch. His scalp was so shiny. He talked to Yakko.

Pikkapom: I am Pikkapom. Who dares to grab my leg?
Yakko: I am magical witch Yakko! I don't care who you are! Why are you standing on the branch? I could have fallen and hurt myself!
Pikkapom: Hahahaha... then it's lucky you didn't then...but tell me, who is this Kyle you were talking about?
Yakko: Kyle? I don't know what you are talking about.
Pikkapom: Come now, I heard you so there is no use pretending. You don't want Kyle to be the world's greatest magician do you? Maybe I can help you out there.
Yakko: Why should you help me? I don't even know you.
Pikkapom: Let's just say that I have a passing interest in who becomes the world's greatest magician.
Pikkapom's eyes glowed a dark red, and Yakko couldn't resist. Her eyes slowly focused on Pikkapom's eyes and Pikkapom's voice.

Cha Cha's eyes were wide with wonder.

Cha Cha: Wow!
Cha Cha was amazed at the amount of food that was prepared for the party being thrown for Kyle. Riiya was stuffing down chicken drumsticks into his mouth in the background, while Marine was feeding him. Cha Cha came over to shove Marine away from Riiya. Shiine was talking to Kyle. 

Shiine: Kyle, how does it feel being the world's greatest magician.

Kyle didn't reply. He just continued looking down at his feet. Shiine began to suspect that Kyle was not happy, he told himself and he wondered why. There was a sudden loud boom and everyone turned towards the sound. The smoke cleared and there was Yakko. Everyone began to smile and laugh when Yakko shouted.

Yakko: Quiet!

Everyone's voice died down. In fact, everyone stopped what they were doing at that moment. Riiya's mouth was wide open, his hand about to stuff another chicken drumstick into it, Marine was hugging Riiya and Cha Cha was pushing Marine's cheeks. Shiine was looking straight at Yakko as was Kyle. Yakko's eyes narrowed at Kyle. Suddenly, Principle Urara glided on one leg towards Yakko.

Urara: Oh Yakko, come in and join the party.
Yakko: I didn't come to party! I came to challenge Kyle to a magical match!
Urara: Oh my.

Teacher Rascal's whip struck the ground.

Rascal: Yakko, do you know what you are doing? Why would you want to challenge Kyle?
Yakko: That coward doesn't deserve to be world's greatest magician!

Urara's head popped up.

Urara: Oh my.

Sherwin appeared.

Sherwin: Oh there seems to be a magical match between the world's greatest magician Kyle and his first challenger Miss Yakko. How will this turn out, only time will tell.

Kyle spoke up. Everybody turned towards Kyle.

Kyle: Yakko, I won't fight you.
Yakko: Then you will suffer!
Sherwin: Oh Yakko has made the first move.

Yakko threw one of her sleeping potions at Kyle. Kyle didn't move but Cha Cha couldn't take it anymore. She hated it when her friends fought. She used her magic.

Cha Cha: Potion break!

The bottle containing the potion broke into many pieces. Unfortunately, it broke all over Shiine and the sleeping potion spilled onto him.

Shiine: Cha Cha...why...?
Cha Cha: Shiine!

Shiine fell to the ground and was sound asleep. Cha Cha rushed beside him and tried to wake him up.

Sherwin: It seems that Cha Cha has by mistake made her friend fall asleep, will this affect Kyle's chances of retaining the title.

Meanwhile, Yakko confronted Kyle. 

Yakko: Fight me or die!
Kyle: Why Yakko?
Yakko: You don't deserve to be the world's greatest magician. Now I will show you my power!

A huge dark blue aura appeared around Yakko, and she prepared to make a spell. Teacher Rascal charged in front of Kyle to protect him. He cracked his whip.

Sherwin: Oh look out. Miss Yakko is getting ready to use a powerful spell.
Rascal: Yakko, stop this at once!

Yakko cast a giant fireball towards Rascal and Kyle. Rascal grabbed Kyle with his whip and jumped away. The fireball followed them. Rascal threw his whip wrapping Kyle away from him. The fireball hit Rascal. Everyone was shocked.
The whip hit the ground and Kyle looked at Rascal, who fell to the ground, burnt black and smoking. Rascal whispered to Kyle.

Rascal: Kyle, you must stop her...
Sherwin: Oh dear. Yakko has hit her teacher, Teacher Rascal. Will Kyle fight back now?

Kyle looked up at Yakko. He accepted the fact he had to fight Yakko because she had gone to far.

Kyle: Yakko! I accept your challenge!
Yakko: Good! Now eat this!

Yakko cast another giant fireball towards Kyle. Kyle created a force field made of water in front of him. The fireball hit the force field and extinguished. As Yakko was preparing to cast another fireball, Kyle attacked Yakko.

Kyle: Snow appear!

A giant ball of snow fell on Yakko, causing her to look like a snowman. She broke out from the snow, but Kyle was ready.

Kyle: Soap appear!

Yakko stepped on the bar of soap. She fell on to her face and was knocked out. The umpire floated beside Yakko's fallen body.

Sherwin: 8...9...10! She's out! Winner by KO, and still the world's greatest magician, Kyle!

Pikkapom appeared in the sky.

Pikkapom: Fools! That girl wasn't powerful enough to beat this weakling boy, now I have to do it myself!

Riiya got up from the buffet table.

Riiya: You again? Didn't we beat you up enough the last time?
Cha Cha: So you are the one who made Yakko challenge Kyle.
Pikkapom: Hahaha... that's right, but this boy won't be able to challenge my magic.

Kyle looked at Yakko and then at Pikkapom.

Kyle: You made me attack my Yakko! I challenge you!

Everyone looked at Kyle.

Sherwin: Oh this is a new one, the world's greatest magician is challenging somebody. This has never happened before.

Kyle looked at Cha Cha, who nodded her approval.
Pikkapom: Hahaha... You challenge me? Why don't you challenge this? Asteroid crush you!

An asteroid was falling towards the school.

Kyle: Shrink!

And just like that, the asteroid shrunk to a boulder size and fell to the ground beside Kyle. Pikkapom was shocked. He never expected Kyle to be so strong.

Pikkapom: Hmmm... you are better than I thought. Luckily I have thought about this, giant hear my call and come to me!

The ground started to shake. A sand giant appeared from the ground and walked up to Kyle.

Kyle: Sand monster freeze!

Nothing happened to the monster.

Pikkapom: Hahaha... the monster is resistant to all magic.

The giant blew a sandstorm at Kyle. Riiya managed to grab Kyle away from the danger. They landed next to Cha Cha.

Kyle: I cannot use my magic against the monster.
Riiya: Let me try.

Riiya grabbed the shrunken asteroid and threw it at the sand monster. The boulder flew through the monster but didn't affect it.

Riiya: Oh no! The rock flew through him. 

The sand monster was about to crush them when Cha Cha had an idea.

Cha Cha: Crescent Aurora Bracelet! Magic Boomerang!

The boomerang came back with a glass making kit. Cha Cha cried.

Cha Cha: What are we going to do with a glass making kit?
Kyle: I know! Fire appear!

A giant fire appeared from beneath the Sand monster. Then Kyle took the glass making kit, got on his broom and flew towards the monster.

Cha Cha: No Kyle!

But Kyle flew to the Monster who was already being affected by the fire. Kyle took out the glass blower and started using on the sand monster. The sand monster was struggling throwing up a lot of dust, which covered Kyle and the monster. The dust settled and everyone, except Pikkapom was pleased to see Kyle was alive, and the monster had been shaped into glass. Riiya saw his chance and punched the glass monster. The monster cracked and broke into a million pieces. 

Sherwin: It seems that Pikkapom's monster is finished.
Pikkapom: But I haven't finished. Arrrrrggghhh!

Pikkapom cast a giant lightning bolt at Kyle, but Kyle was now very confident and took charge.

Kyle: Tornado blow!

A tornado appeared and sucked up the lightning bolt and Pikkapom blowing them far away. The lightning bolt shocked Pikkapom inside the tornado. 

Seravi and Dorothy prepared hot cakes for the children. Cha Cha, Riiya, Shiine, even Yakko and Kyle were there. Cha Cha and Riiya were busily stuffing hot cakes into their mouths. Seravi turned to Kyle.

Seravi: Kyle, I heard that you defeated Pikkapom and his sand monster.
Kyle: Uh...yes...Mister Seravi...

Kyle began to blush.

Dorothy: Seravi dear, can't you see you're embarrassing him?
Elizabeth: I would also be embarrassed sitting next to you.
Dorothy: Why you...!

Yakko turned to Kyle as Dorothy was angrily showing her fist at Seravi.

Yakko: Kyle... I'm sorry.
Kyle: That's okay, Yakko.

Yakko and Kyle blushed, but like all good things, Riiya broke the tender moment.

Riiya: I want more hot cakes.
Shiine: Can you shut up?!

Once again outside the castle there was a glorious sunny day.

End.
