About the
School
The French
Formula Language School was established here in Melbourne in February
2001. Since that time, we have delivered a wide range of courses
to hundreds of students from diverse backgrounds. You can read
some of our customer feedback here.
Your Teacher
Emmanuelle Missios is a
French native speaker who has
been teaching French as a Foreign Language for the past 7
years.
Before moving to
Australia, Emmanuelle taught French in Scotland and France and also
worked as a chef. Her passion for food is something she
loves to share with her students as part of their French
studies. Generally these French
cooking sessions can be arranged as a fun end of term
activity.

Her academic qualifications include Masters Degrees
in Teaching French as a Foreign Language and French Literature and has completed specialist studies in Computer
Assisted Language Learning. She is also a Victorian
Government accredited trainer.
In addition to teaching the French language,
Emmanuelle places
great emphasis on the study of French culture through its food, art
and literature.
Customer Feedback
I had the pleasure of having Emmanuelle as my instructor in French
for four weeks in December 2001, just prior to my transfer to
Paris. I received fairly intensive training for 2 hours per day 4
times per week. I particularly enjoyed the lessons with
Emmanuelle. She made them interesting, engaged in frequent
conversational French and explained things in a pedagogic and clear
manner. I though that the ground we covered in a short period of
time was surprising. I had not expected to learn so
much.

I recently attended French
for Travellers course. I would like to commend the tutor
Emmanuelle Missios. Although I had absolutely no French language
experience before the course and found the content challenging,
Emmanuelle's handouts, homework and CD helped me to revise with
confidence.
I particularly valued
having a native French speaking tutor and the inclusion of cultural
content and useful travel tips. Using the practical 'Lonely
Planet' text will help me to link the course learning to my travel
experience in a useful way.

Dear
Emmanuelle,
Thank you for the energy, fun
and education you have put into teaching me over the past
months. As one with poor language skills I was daunted by the
prospect of learning a language in a class environment but I have
really enjoyed it. Best
wishes...
