MSZ-2x NightShade
The
MSZ-2x is an adaptation of the Raptor by the world of Slarslak, a double
planet - where the main world is orbited by an equal size moon. Night reigns
supreme on this small cornor of the Republic. This night world, has both
water and plant life, although not the normal sun light variety. The Planets
and animals of this world thrive on heat, see heat, and consume heat. The
planet is heated by its very active volcanic core, making life possible
on its dark surface.
The MSZ-2x is the standard issue armor of Slarslak, it has no heat signature,
and has advanced nightvision and radar capabilities (uses thermal imaging
for as far as the eye can see). This model has been brought to Rifts for
deep jungle exploration, in the dark shaparell of the Asian Jungles, and
for Night time Co-Ops missions. The main reason this unit isn't classified
as power armor is that it is mechanically enhanced for cloaking, making
the robot more robot that responsive armor.
Note: Persons using thermal imaging equipment will be unable to see the
NightShade due to the advanced heat cloaking, the unit will seem to blend
into the surroundings. This includes races like Elves.
