Hi! This page is designed to showcase several online projects that have been done by Mrs. Gaines' Kindergarten class in Seneca, MO. The most recent projects are from the 1999-2000 school year, due to the fact that I am not teaching kindergarten this year. I am continuing to maintain this site for a couple of reasons. One is to provide a model for other classrooms to design their own projects and the other is because the projects may resume the following year, should I return to teaching kindergarten. Our main project was Traveling Mascots. Each of seven participating kindergarten classrooms learned about other areas of the country through the exchange of a class mascot, email, and digital photos. The Traveling Mascots page is where you can see the adventures of our traveling friends!

Another project which the kids and I were immersed in was the Flat Stanley Project. Come and find out what our flat friends were up to!!!

In October of 1999, I had the opportunity to go to Washington, D.C. with a delegation of 33 people to represent our elementary school at the Blue Ribbon Schools Ceremony. Here is the collection of photos that I took during the trip! Enjoy!
