The Magazine "Macro Micro Economics" awarded the year winners of announced contest in three nominations: "Best Monograph of the 20th century in Economics", "Best Monograph of the year in Economics", "Best Scientific Popular Article of the year In Economics."

In the nomination of "Best Monograph of the 20th Century in Economics":

The award for the first place, diploma of owner and the preemie went to Academic Paata Gugushvili (posthumous) for the monograph "Economic development of Georgia and Caucasus in 19th - 20th centuries".

The award for the second place, diploma of owner and the preemie went to Academic Vasil Chantladze for the monograph "The Features of Finance Theory" (Russian, Publisher - Tbilisi State University, 1979).

The award for the third place, diploma of owner and the preemie went to Prof. N. Iashvili for the monograph "Land Fund of Georgia" (I; II; 1961, 1979 years).

In the nomination of "Best Monograph of the Year in Economics"

The award for the second place, diploma of owner and the preemie went to Prof. Givi Gamsakhurdia for the Monographic Work "The role of finance in Georgian economy in transition" (Tbilisi 1997).

The award for the third place, diploma of owner and the preemie went to Prof. George Malashkhia for the Monographic Work "Metaeconomy - the Economic Philosophy".

In the nomination of "Best Scientific Popular Article of the Year":

The award, diploma of owner and the preemie went to Dr Leo Chikava for the article "For the issue of social orientation of Georgian national economy".

Statistical Yearbook of Georgia 1999

Booklet is written in two languages, Georgian and English.
