Based upon a foundation of theory and research, as well as knowledge and skill professions are self-regulating. An inherent assumption in this process is the adoption and adherence to a Code of Ethics. ATSA’s Code of Ethics is intended to reflect scientifically informed and professionally accepted beliefs regarding professional behavior and conduct.

  • Australia:   SafeCare SafeCare Inc. is an independent, community-based organisation that provides treatment, counselling and support services to families where child sexual abuse is an issue. SafeCare currently provides services to clients in metropolitan Perth and Bunbury, Western Australia.   • Virginia:   Shenandoah Valley Sex Offender Treatment Program (SVSOTP) The SVSOTP is a private, outpatient program providing evaluation and treatment for adult and adolescent sex offenders. The Program is located in Harrisonburg, Virginia, in the central Shenandoah Valley. The SVSOTP was founded in 1985 in response to a growing need for community-based evaluation and treatment services for sex offenders. This, in turn, reflected an increasing awareness that such a program can help prevent convicted offenders from re-offending. The SVSOTP's philosophy is founded on the premise that a thorough evaluation, intensive treatment and supervision of appropriate candidates can help protect the community by breaking the cycle of offending.
