Intervarsity Christian Fellowship, or IVCF (or IV) is the second largest organization with "a three fold purpose: 1) to lead others to personal faith in Christ as Lord and Savior, 2) to help Christians grow toward maturity as disciples of Christ through study of the Bible, prayer, and Christian fellowship, 3) to present the call of God to York College, helping students and faculty discover God's role for them."***
IV as a large group meets for fellowship every Thursday night as well as in small groups for Bible Study (times and places listed below). We have fun at our socials every week and the annual retreat held in April.
Our meetings are every Thursday night at 7:50 PM in Buechel Lounge in the Iosue Student Union (it's to the left of the Dining Hall; look for the signs). We are open to any religious affiliation; please come and join us for Thursday Night Together (TNT)!
We are still looking for a new Web Person, as our current one will be departing in May for the "Real World" (yipes!!). No computer experience necessary though it is appreciated. E-mail Kate Kosturski, Web Person if you are interested.

Here's a small calendar of events to take place during the first week of school:
We sure have some great things to be happy about this summer!! Take a gander at this list....
-- Love is in the air!! Best wishes to Tim and Tracey on the celebration of their marriage on August 7th! Congratulations are also in order for Jake and Rachel, and Stasha and Ryan on getting engaged this summer! God Bless all you happy couples!!
-- Get-well wishes are in order for Pat and Sean, who spent some time in the hospital this summer as well. Both are at home recovering nicely and quickly. Get well soon guys!! :)
-- Praise is also in order for Kate (the Web Person) and her home. On July 19th, lightning struck her property and in spite of a deadly power surge in her phone lines, her home and family were safe. The casualties were minor (the most serious being loss of phone service for a day), but no one was hurt and that her home didn't catch fire!
Bible Studies for the Fall 1999 semester are either underway or in development, and definite times, places and topics will be announced in the first few weeks of school. Any ideas for studies can be passed on to Ryan Brenner, Small Group Coordinator.
