To us, one of the most interesting and pleasant aspects of traveling in Britain is getting to know its towns and villages -- seeing buildings from various historical periods and noting how they have adapted to serve the needs of the community in the present day. The following are brief notes on most of the towns and villages we visited on this trip, with photos.
