Wyand's weyr

[
Weyr] [Childhood] [Candidacy] [Hatchling] [Weyrling] [Adult] [Stats] [Ryslen Weyr]

As you enter the weyr, the first thing that you notice about it is how simple and normal everything seems to be.  Most of the other Candidate's weyrs that you have visited have had something strange, like numbweed or viscious firelizards.  This one, however, seems to be normal.

"Hello?" You ask, stepping off of the empty stone dragon ledge.  You're rewarded by a scrambling, and a girl of around 15 Turns hurries out of the sleeping area of the weyr, quickly brushing her wavy auburn hair with a brush made out of a runner's tailhairs.

"Ah, sorry!" She says, tossing the hairbrush aside.  "I really wasn't expecting any visitors today, or at any time, for that matter."

"You don't have a firelizard, do you?" You ask the girl.  "I've been attacked by too many to really like them as much as I used to."  You grin nervously, looking around for any evidence that a firelizard lives here.

The girl grins tentatively.  "No, I don't have a firelizard or any pet at all.  I'm thinking of maybe Impressing one, if I Impress at the clutch that I'm standing for now."  She smiles unsurely.  "Oh, I'm really sorry, I forgot to introduce myself.  I'm Wyand."

You introduce yourself, and Wyand gestures for you to sit down on a straight-backed woodedn chair.  You fidgit slightly, trying to find a comfortable place to sit, but Wyand doesn't seem to notice your discomfort.  "Now then," She asks, "What are you here for?"

"I was looking for a good runnerbeast, and I heard that you had a really nice mare who was expecting to foal soon..." You trail off at Wyand's excited face.

"Yes, Cinders is my mare.  She's a great one, and although her foal has already been claimed, you could go out and visit her.  I got her from Rohlen Hold, which always has a nice selection of runners that you can adopt."  Wyand smiles and gestures out to a bronze weyrling that lands on the ledge.  "
N'ral and his bronze Lokioth would be happy to take you, I'm sure.  Especially since we're cousins," She adds, smiling.
