Religions of Aernth Link Page
The religions that are present in the fantasy world of Aernth are listed below (with a brief description of each, and a link to the page that will go into detail about the religion in question). Unlike most fantasy worlds (Role-Playing Game Worlds) here in Aernth, there exists several organized religions. Anyone who is a player in one of the games that I run is free to choose one of these for their character to "believe in", or you can let me know what type of religion your character is/should be associated with to make the character background work, and we can see what we can come up with. In this fantasy setting, these religions hold sway and the "channeling magic" that powers them is in existence due to the widely held belief in the particular religion, thus the more commonly believed ones tend to be more powerful (but the degree of faith of the followers of a religion also come into play in this equation, thus a small religion with extremely devote followers can potentially be more powerful than a widely believed religion in which most of the followers are "weekend worshipers").

World Pantheon (20% of people of Aernth are followers of this religion) It is a multi-theistic religion, different from anything else (but it has some aspects that are similar to several real world religions, such as the Greek or Norse religions).

Church of the All Father (15% of the people of Aernth are followers of this religion) It is a mono-theistic religion, in which there is a single "God" that is refereed to as "The All Father" or sometimes as "Jailsahaim" (this religions sort of resembles the Catholic church of medieval times in Europe, but the resemblance is quite limited).

Druidism (20% of the people of Aernth are followers of this religion) This religion is what the name implies (I utilize what I know about the religion as it existed in Ireland prior to the arrival of Christianity, but since the information about it is quite limited, I have used quite a bit of "Creative License" to change or alter it to fit the needs of the game setting.

Jailsahaim (10% of the people of Aernth are followers of this religion) This religion most closely resembles the Jewish religion (it is based off the same deity as the Church of the All Father, except they believe that the "Messiah" has not yet appeared, and several other doctrinal differences also exist between them).

Totemism/Shamanism (10% of the people of Aernth are followers of this system of beleifs) The concept of Totemism or Shamanism dates back to the earliest of times and oldest of cultures. It is in essence the interaction of beings in the worldly realms of existence with animal and other nature spirits from the Menagerie, Astra, or Spirit World. While this system of beleifs is most common among barbaric cultures, where technology is at a minimum (think in terms of the Australian Aboriginies, the American Indians, or some early African Cultures), it can still be found present in some rare advanced cutlures. While this is system of beleifs closely resembles Druidry and they interact extensively, it is different. Where Druidry is very well organized and structured, Shamanism is not. It is usually specific to the local culture and area.

There are also several smaller organized religions present, but they each have less than 5% of the people of Aernth as followers (most are under 1%), and thus are not discussed in any detail here, but if you are running a character that wishes to follow the doctrine of some other religion that is not listed above, let me know and we can probably work something out for you.

Please note that the religions discussed here are of a pure fantasy  nature, they are based on religions that have existed on the Earth during recorded history (more or less), but are not meant to promote ANY religion, nor are they meant to be exact or accurate source material for the religions thus mentioned. This is only a fantasy role-playing game setting, not some type of fanatical religious source material. So please keep in mind the context of it. And thank you for visiting.
