HOORAY!!! We've finally managed to get access again to the server. It.s only taken nearly 2 years. Watch this space, new updated site coming up very shortly. AT LAST YOU SAY!!
We have completely re-designed the site to hopefully make it
a little more user friendly. In particular, we have removed most of the Album Sleeve
graphics, and created smaller, faster menu button and banners to reduce download times.
This does not mean that we are going to abandon sleeve art altogether, but that we will be
providing you with the choice to 'view or not to view'. Watch this space.
Collectors Guide
Still a comprehensive guide to the Locating, Collecting,
Grading, Care, Protection and Enjoyment of vinyl records.
In addition to the Guide, we have also provided a multitude of
links to useful Resouces such as Mail Order Companies,
Collecting Magazines, Clubs, Sundries, Research Sites, Newsgroups etc. And for the label
collecting aficionado, don't forget to visit our Label Listings
pages.
Vinyl Verbals
Vinyl Verbals is intended to be a
Vinyl Collectors E-zine and Newsletter containing articles and news items written by
collectors for collectors.
Features planned for future display include Artist Biographies and Discographies and
General Discussion points about vinyl and music.
If you have an article that would be of interest to fellow collectors, please e-mail it to
us.
Guestbook
Come on in and Sign our Guestbook. Let us know what you think
of the new site. What would YOU like to see? Have you written an article that could grace
these pages?
Failing that, just View the Guestbook and read what other
people have said.
All the best for 1999,

Vinyl Talk
Mailing List
We have set this up as an experiment to provide an
alternative to the rec.music.collecting.vinyl newsgroup which is becoming increasingly
swamped with off charter For Sale / Wanted Ads and all too common flame wars.
Vinyl Talk is provided as a central point for the discussion of vinyl appreciation,
collecting and enjoyment in addition to any related topics, i.e. Artists, Labels etc.
It's early days yet (set up 12th Aug '98), but hopefully it will build into a useful and
friendly source for chat and info. Subscribe to Vinyl Talk and
give it a go. All you need is a valid e-mail account. Alternatively, you can View the Vinyl Talk Archives at
the OneList site.
UK Vinyl Club
For those of you based in the UK, or with an interest in UK
issues, we have started a forum / messageboard with Yahoo! Clubs.
Entitled 'Collecting Vinyl in the UK', it is aimed at providing a central point for the
discussion / buying / selling and trading of vinyl (CD / Tapes also allowed) for both
collectors and dealers alike.
A chat room is provided, and members may also place related links within the site. It
would be great if we could acquire members from both sides of the fence, collectors and
dealers.
