Funding
Sources
Appropriate funding
is critical for students who are deaf-blind as costs surrounding communication
and language supports can be significant. As well, attendance requirements
for some financial aid programs may prove problematic for you as even one
course may be a significant load.
There are a number
of funding systems that students need to consider. Options available
include the British Columbia Student Assistance Program, Vocational Rehabilitation
Services, Canada Study Grant and the Canada Student Loan Program.
The institution
that you plan on attending can help you navigate these funding choices.
Scholarships and
Bursaries
There are numerous
places you can check out to secure funding. You need to check your
college, institute or university regarding scholarships and bursaries specific
to each school. Here are some funding resources that are geared for
students who are deaf-blind.
