Since Gretchen's birth in 1996 they have become all too familiar with doctors..She was born with a giant congenital Nevus with multiple satalites.

On October 18th 1997 she was diagnosed with Neurocutanious Melanosis (NCM). NCM are nevus cells growing on the brain, she has a seizure disorder, slow motor skills and speech impairment.

Nathaniel was diagnosed in his first year of school with speech impairment and has been doing great with his therapist.

Alaura has mild Thalasemia, they hope to find out soon with more specific testing, if it is a dominant trait.

Gretchen at 3 mos if you look carefully you can see her scalp nevi, she was born with (look carefully, it's hard to distinguish the nevi from her hair :o))It covers her entire scalp. The little marks on her back side are called Satalites and since her birth have multiplied twofold.
