Manoj Pachouri

I dedicate this web site to my father late shri Banshilal Gorelal Pachouri (15^th Apr 1927 - 29^th May 1997) who remained my idol throughout his life and taught me that there is no substitute for hard work and dedication.

He was a true believer of fraternity and co-operation. Altruist, Simple, Generous, Courteous, sympathetic, Enthusiastic etc. are among few adjectives which are used to define his character.

Boasting, egotism, proud could never even touch him. He was always ready to help his colleagues and people under him, no matter whether it was a problem of money or physical help.

I am very glad to be his son. I got a father who tried to provide me with every happiness of this world. Devoting this website to him is just a minute attempt to accolade his works.

Family Background: My great grandfathers, known as Pachouri Maharaj, were minister of the king of an estate in Bhind district.

Due to some dispute between the king and him, he was asked to abdicate the ministership. Since he was one of the most able and loyal ministers of the king, he allowed 'Pachouri Maharaj' to take all his property and treasure with him.

After leaving the kingdom, Pachouri Maharaj settled a small village named Silaupura on the bank of river Vaisali in Bhind district. He had many elephants along with other luxurious accessories because of which we was called 'Haathibandh' Pachouri ('Haathi' = elephant and 'bandh' = to knot).

About Me: I was born at Piparaulli village in Bhind district. According to Hindu mythology, Manoj is the name of god of sex, Kamadev, who is just like cupid in Latin mythology.

At the age of 4, I was admitted to Chaudhary central convent school in Bhind and then to Rajendra convent school. I was also student of Pachouri convent school for 3 years which was our own school directed by my elder brother Mr. Munnalal Pachouri.

I completed my higher secondary education (78 %) from Rajendra convent school in 1997 and graduation (B. Sc.) from M.J.S. Degree college in 2004. I have also done software engineering in 2004.

I was working as a software developer in Ahmedabad till I got admission in ICFAI Business School, Bangalore campus in 2005.

My chemical name (I know it looks funny) is MnO₃(Manganese Ozonide). There is not any real compound in chemistry like this and it is just an abbreviation of my name i.e. Manoj (Manoz).
