I was inspired today to propose a new mailing list,

above and beyond the Spiritwalk Mailing list. 

 

I sent this e-mail out ~

I have very often had thoughts of sending something out to the list,
beyond the constricted limits which I have placed on the Spiritwalk List,
but have refrained from this not wanting to spam our own list and irritate
some of our members who want to keep e-mail minimal...It has recently
been illustrated to me how important this is to some people through an
event on another list. I could load up the totally inactive SpiritTalk list
with this stuff, but this violates the intended spiritual conversation idea.
Howeverandnevertheless, I often have materials which I want to pass on

and which I feel could behelpful and it is sometimes difficult to discern

what will irritate and what will enlighten. Going generally with my own

personal introversion and Adlai Steveson's adage,
I usually opt for silence as the improvement over speaking.

I {thinking out loud here} guess what I am proposing is a second, less formal,
more active list, for those who would be interested in this, through which
I would send out more extensive notes, ideas, quotations, passing on
information which has been sent to me and I found valuable, and might be
of interest to you, things and events going on and around around the internet
to which I have been notified, etc. For example, the other day, I had to pass on
the access to Keola Beamer's Mauna Kea album on broadcast. com. Those of you
who went there probably understand why. This is the kind of thing I do
with my friends, and could be a fun thing to do here. We could work this out together.

Yeah.

So if you would like to be a part of this kind of mailing list, which I will call temporarily,
Roger's Notes until something more creative hits me as a name,
please just reply to this e-mail with a note about your thoughts.

If not, I will just keep talking to myself...

The Secrets of Heaven and Hell

     The old monk sat by the side of the road. With his eyes closed, his legs crossed and his
     hands folded in his lap, he sat. In deep meditation, he sat.

     Suddenly his zazen was interrupted by the harsh and demanding voice of a samurai
     warrior. "Old man! Teach me about heaven and hell!"

     At first, as though he had not heard, there was no perceptible response from the monk.
     But gradually he began to open his eyes, the faintest hint of a smile playing around the
     corners of his mouth as the samurai stood there, waiting impatiently, growing more and
     more agitated with each passing second.

     "You wish to know the secrets of heaven and hell?" replied the monk at last. "You who
     are so unkempt. You whose hands and feet are covered with dirt. You whose hair is
     uncombed, whose breath is foul, whose sword is all rusty and neglected. You who are
     ugly and whose mother dresses you funny. You would ask me of heaven and hell?"

     The samurai uttered a vile curse. He drew his sword and raised it high above his head.
     His face turned to crimson and the veins on his neck stood out in bold relief as he
     prepared to sever the monk's head from its shoulders.

     "That is hell," said the old monk gently, just as the sword began its descent.

     In that fraction of a second, the samurai was overcome with amazement, awe,
     compassion and love for this gentle being who had dared to risk his very life to give him
     such a teaching. He stopped his sword in mid-flight and his eyes filled with grateful tears.

     "And that," said the monk, "is heaven."

DIVERT YOUR COURSE!

This is the transcript of an actual radio conversation of a US naval
ship with Canadian authorities off the coast of Newfoundland in 1995.
Radio conversation released by the Chief of Naval Operations 10/10/95:

AMERICANS: Please divert your course 15 degrees to the north to avoid a
collision.

CANADIANS: Recommend you divert YOUR course 15 degrees to the south to
avoid a collision.

AMERICANS: This is the Captain of a US Navy ship. I say again, divert
YOUR course.

CANADIANS: No. I say again, you divert YOUR course.

AMERICANS: THIS IS THE AIRCRAFT CARRIER USS MISSOURI, WE ARE A LARGE
WARSHIP OF THE US NAVY. DIVERT YOUR COURSE NOW!

CANADIANS: This is a lighthouse. Your call.

September 20, 1998

Notes on meeting Carlos at the Newbury Park, CA. Pow-wow 9/20/98

Today I met a very interesting man, a man of simple wisdom and vision. His name is Carlos White Eagle, a jeweler and silversmith. He didn’t say so, but he is also a medicine man. And a prophet with something to say. He might be un-educated and he might write a little like Injun Joe, he is someone to listen to. And so I did.

A very humble man, Carlos spoke of a life of being slammed time after time; of being shot twice (in Los Angeles); of being in trouble and divine interventions; of angels whooshing, ricocheting bullets away from his body and away from vital organs as a bullet in his heart ricochets 6x and hits nothing important. I should already be long dead. I didn’t want to listen. I wanted to play. Creator says, "What is it going to take, man?" Slammed and slammed again.

He tells of a vision, around age 12, where White Eagle came to him. He (they) told him to live a life of Appreciation (We have so much, all that we can accept is there for us, its all there we just didn’t know how to take it.) and Respect (for spirit and mother earth). I call it creator because God has an identity and creator goes beyond this. It operates beyond good and bad which are [human constructs] made up by people.

He speaks poignantly of the power and importance of Love and Unity.

"I’ll tell you something about spirituality" (The Spirit of the North of the Medicine Wheel),

Carlos said. " It isn’t what you do but what you are. It isn’t the words you talk, It’s the path you walk."

You can’t just do it, You have to feel it. You have to be in touch with yourself. You have to be in touch with mother earth. So much destruction to the earth. But, as much damage as we do, Mother earth will survive. Maybe we won’t.. We have to get ready. We have to be prepared for emergency. We must prepare for what is to come!

Our reluctant prophet, tells of prophecy revealed to him by the Creator.

The world is in real trouble and WE HAVEN’T GOT MUCH TIME. (Maybe 5 years)

The earth has begun to change its vibration. We have to adjust to it.

The things that we think matter, won’t matter at all. The material things we don’t, won’t need.

He tells of running into some people in the CIA who are studying the earth’s vibration and says that the earth’s vibration IS changing. We have to learn to adjust and resonate with the new vibration. Many will be lost along the way. We must get ready.

His parting words..."Tell People about this."

... o.k. Carlos, I did. 

I think that most of us are aliens…not that they weren’t born here…they just don’t belong.

He spoke of the dependence on a world economy; the reduction in defense and productivity and dependence on cheap foreign labor and the government of the few…has he read Noam Chomsky?…

He tells that spirit had him write the book, The Circle of Life, told him what to say and what not to say. This is a new and unique way of doing the Medicine Wheel.
