RKHQ Mayo Shrine

Ever wonder who the seiyuu, (voice actor/actress), of the ever popular anime character Himura Kenshin is??? Well here she is!!!! The lovely Mayo Suzukaze!!!
Mayo CD pic1

Hai hai! This is the famous Mayo Suzukaze! ^_^ As you Rurouni Kenshin fans already know, she is extremely talented and quite the singer. There are barely any sites or shrines about her, probably because Himura Kenshin is her first and only anime voice role she's ever done and not much people know about her! O_O Amazing, yosh? I don't know that much about her either, but I think she deserves to have shrines so I made this pathetic one! >.< If you would like to know more about her, check out the Seiyuu411 page and you'll find a satisfactory amount of info. . . for now. Here are some scans of this pretty lady that I got off of her CD titled "MINE".

YIKES!!!! Look what I found in my quest!!!!! My goodness!!! Have you ever seen a prettier Japanese musical broadway actress?!? O_O Of course not! Especially since she's also been in fashion shows. WOW! I found this photo through the Japanese Infoseek Search engine and if you would like the site from which I found this gorgeous pic of Mayo-san, just ask! ^_^x

Mayo as Peggy from 42nd Street!

Mayo Suzukaze-san is dressed in a chic 1930s New York outfit and quite lovely if I may say so myself. ^_^x And she is dressed for the part of Peggy Sawyer from the famous American musical "42nd Street". (For those of you Americans who have never heard of "42nd Street", SHAME ON YOU!!!) This version of "42nd Street" was performed in Japanese in Japan.

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't been updating this page lately, but you know how it is. . . school, laziness, and so forth. ^_^ IMPORTANT NEWS!!!

Well, I have heard from Tomato-san and seen commercials on the Asian channel in the Bay Area that a drama set in the Meiji era will be broadcasted soon. It's titled "GENROKU RYOURAN". Why is this important you say? Well, Mayo Suzukaze-san will be playing the part of a wife of a general named Nobuko. If you have access to Fuji T.V. in the Bay Area, try looking for this program every Saturday nite from 9:30pm-10:30pm in the near future. ^_^

Here are a couple of pics I found of Mayo-san when she was a young actress for a musical troupe called the "Takarazuka". (If you are familiar with the famous Kabuki, then you'll know what I'm talking about.) This troupe is a WOMAN ONLY troupe so 2/3 of the troupe would have to play a male role. Mayo-san performed as a man many times and her voice helped with that, but she also proved that she could play a beautiful woman with a low voice. This troupe rose to 300 members later and became extremely popular and Mayo-san was a star!

That's all for now. I'll be back another time to feed your need with more Mayo-related goodies! Jaa matane!
