MARGARIDA REIMÃO

A FEW COMMENTS

"Making poetry is to set foot on the road towards hearts and minds, having the right of making transfers at each station of the soul. And this has been, it seems, Margarida's mission, who, along all those years, wandering through luminous paths, under the sign of creation, has made the tread more bearable, lighter for us, to whom she destines her verses. There is some astronomy in this process. Poets are luminous beings and those who have the sensitivity to nourish from their inspiration are illuminated. The fundamental thing is, essentially speaking, always to have light.

Mowing feelings that allow, each time more amplitude to her sensitivity, gaining the shape of form letters over a virgin sheet of paper, Margarida Reimão grants us verses that flow from her and achieve actuality in technique, in content and in style.

Reading her, one can have the impression that she perceives a constant and relentless search towards the other, the unknown, to share her emotions. That is, therefore, the poet's mission. Furthermore, we have to quote after Drummond: "When Margarida was born, an anguished angel, who had the mission to comfort mortals, said: Go, Margarida, be a poet along your life."

"The Song gets to our ears tenderly and softly, the soft voice of the afternoon winds and comforting accords in the warm night. The girl believes in other values. She talks enthusiastically with her slow voice. She charms in her sharp notes. Develops all her belief in her flats. She has an elegant score that pours virtues, a sensual demeanor and lyric gestures. Palm leaves shake in her stanzas, there is a taste of sea in each verse, as if the infinite blue came down at her call and wrapped us with her message. The wind whistles. Her themes weave sinuous curves. There is a body calling. There is a soul reasoning. Her shape is soft, undressing herself in the exact moment, so that encounter can explode in a thousand stars. Her instruments are eternal, bringing each moment, revealing us all that she's experimenting along the road."
