WWWCentaur Board Posting # 1111

The results of the medical scans are in. I've discussed them with my neighbor and my friends at the university so I can translate 'researchese' into something that resembles American English.

ITEM ONE: Pelvic changes--Bone

Sunday's scanning showed two trends. The first is that my existing pelvis is changing slightly. The ersatz research team has lots of guesses but not enough data to project the future. The second trend is the creation of a second pelvis behind the front one. Detailed scans show a thick knobby bone connecting my spine to the pelvis. The pelvis itself vaguely resembles the hindquarters of a horse, minus the legs.

ITEM TWO: Pelvic changes--Known Organs

We now have proof of what caused parts of the apparent change from male to female. The enhanced medical scans show two sets of ovaries where there shouldn't have been any. The ovaries are linked to things that the team thinks are proto-uteri. One points forward while the other points to the rear. Neither is connected to the outside.

ITEM THREE: Pelvic changes--Unknown Organs

There is some concern about a set of 'extra' organs forming around both pelvises. These organs are calcium rich and are fed by an extensive network of blood vessels. One of the research team members thinks that they are biological warehouse for organic building materials. Unfortunately he really wants me to go in for more frequent medical scanning and more invasive tests.

I'm wavering on his suggestions. Risk and pain versus concrete knowledge. If I hadn't known 'George' for so long, I'd be very leery of his suggestions.

ITEM FOUR: Prelude to Lactation?

Above the belt line, my milk delivery system is showing signs that it is about to start producing said substance. At least that is what the obstetrician on the team is predicting based on internal changes. She was a little amazed when I told her that I hadn't really noticed the change in bra sizes.

She is predicting that I'll start producing milk within the next three weeks, based on her experience with pregnant women. Lacking a baby, I'll either have to use a breast pump to remove the milk, or undergo some very painful waiting while I dry up.

Assuming, of course, that my "atypical changes don't skew the otherwise natural process." (Her phrasing in quotes.)

ITEM FIVE: Changes since Sunday

The ersatz research team would really like to do the high powered medical scanning a lot more frequently. What used to be a two centimeter extension of the rear end on Sunday has become a four centimeter 'shelf'. It hasn't affected my balance because the weight on the back end has been countered by the weight on the front end. (See Item Four)

I said that I'd agree to the more frequent testing if they could schedule it for a less public time and place. I DO NOT want to have grainy pictures of myself in the check out stand tabloids.

They agreed to my conditions. They also said that one more mid-day run wouldn't hurt.

Curiosity beat prudence. I agreed to the testing. I hope I don't regret it.

ITEM SIX: Mental/Physical Health

I'm surviving and learning more about how to dress and act like a woman. Sunday's expedition made me more comfortable about going out in public.

Reproductively and mentally I'm still male. The hardware between the legs is convex but not operative at this time. (Conflicting hormones.) One reason I'm calling myself Ms. is because it matches the visible attributes of my body.

Physically I'm in good shape. I itch in those places where I'm stretching though. But the four centimeter rear 'shelf' is making it easier for me to hang my tail off the back end of my chair.

Food consumption doesn't appear to have gone up. I have, however, been taking more vitamins because of anemia and general tiredness. Not megadoses though. (Pregnancy supplements I'm embarrassed to say.)

The really rough part about the changes involves my wife. Every night before we go to bed she braids my mane and tail. Every morning, before she goes to work, she fixed the braids while adding ribbons, beads, flowers, bells and other decorations. I'm expected to wear the decorations until she comes home.

I tolerate it because I love my wife. At the same time I feel strange when I encounter this exotic alien creature in a mirror.
