Welcome to the Round Robin fanfic homepage

On these pages, I've got a listing of stories written by the IRC Round Robin writing group.  This is a variable group of people who get together Saturday afternoons to write a story "live" on Internet Relay Chat.  (If you'd like to get onto the IRC, you need a chat program.  A lot of us use mIRC)  These stories are all uploaded to the main archive in time, but I usually get them up a bit earlier.  (If the links to the archive aren't working, you can try visiting Anne's Place.)

A number of these stories have been nominated for the 1999 Kerth Fanfic Awards, and some of them won.  I'll mark those with a note in parentheses following the story description.

Thanks for visiting! :-)  If you have any problems, please let me know!

Unintentional Fifth Season

During the Fall of 1998, we started writing stories in a shared continuity, and realized that this could turn into a full season of Lois & Clark.  We began some time after "The Family Hour" and just assumed some resolution to that cliffhanger that left L&C childless once again.  The individual stories have a number after the title to let you know in which order to read them.

Now Playing:

Emotional Corners (#20) -- Amid preparations for the upcoming Merriwether Awards, Lois comes down with a bad cold and has to stay at home and rest. Clark gets a *super* workout as he tries to preserve his secret as well as Lois's sanity when Ellen Lane decides to give her "baby girl" a little TLC.

Someone's Watching (Over) Me (#19) -- Clark faces a super-dilemma when Lois, Dr. Klein and Dr. Friskin are taken hostage at Star Labs and Superman *cannot* come to their rescue.

Superman, the Motion ... Sickness (#18) -- Lois discovers that not all the men in the Kent clan are quiet and mild-mannered when Clark's bombastic "Uncle" J.J. comes to town.

Touched by an Angle (#17) -- In the midst of adjusting to the fact that Lois is having twins, Lois and Clark have to investigate a strange cult that apparently worships Superman as a god.

Edge of Discovery (#16) -- Morgan Edge decides to delve into Superman's past in hopes of finding a way to destroy him once and for all. Meanwhile Lois and Clark receive some startling news about Lois' pregnancy.

Blonde Ambition (#15) -- Angelique, Dr. Klein's new colleague at Star Labs, is beautiful, brainy, and apparently interested in him, much to the consternation of Dr. Ruth Friskin. But is her interest in Bernie real or just a front to uncover information about Superman?

Photographs and Memories (#14) -- Lois and Clark take a break from battling villains to prepare a nursery, instead -- and learn a little bit more about each other in the process.

Edge of Metropolis (#13) -- Morgan Edge is back ... this time as the editor of a rival paper, and he's determined to discredit Superman, one way or another.  Meanwhile, Ellen has designs on Lois & Clark's nursery...

Blast From the Past (2/2):  The Return of Lord Kal-El (#12) -- Following the New Kryptonian visit, Clark begins acting oddly.  Can Lois save Clark, or will she be stuck with Kal-El?  And what's this about Superman taking over the world?

Blast From the Past (1/2):  Field Trip (#11) -- Lord Trey and a few of his students from New Krypton come to visit the prodigal son, but this second New Kryptonian invasion should prove less destructive than the first one, right?

Love Me Tender (#10) -- Perry and Alice are getting remarried, and everyone's invited.  But Lois and Clark manage to add their own special touch to the day, as a unique pregnancy symptom threatens to let everyone know just how "super" Clark is.

Edge of Darkness (#9) -- Perry and Alice are off on a trip, leaving Morgan Edge from the LA office in charge for a few weeks.  Are his inexplicable decisions simply bad management, or is something more sinister going on?

Mxyed Signals (#8) -- Mr. Mxyzptlk is back, and he sends L&C on a very funny adventure through a series of television shows (imagine, Lois & Clark on TV! <g>)

Auld Acquaintance (#7) -- Franklin Stern is hosting a New Years Eve/Hogmany party on his yacht -- unfortunately, his guests are threatened by some party crashers with machine guns.  How can Superman save the day when Lois & Clark are handcuffed together in full view of everyone?

All I Want For Christmas (#6) -- It's the Daily Planet Christmas party ... and just to make the season interesting, there are also hints of Intergang and eco-terrorists (Christmas tree arson??) ... but what Lois *really* wants to know is what's the mystery present that Clark's given her.

Fully Functional (#5) -- Dr. Friskin wanted to write a paper about the dysfunctional Lane family, but she's discovering enough material for a book ... so for her paper, she'll have to study the Lois-Clark-Superman triangle.  (An early version of this story was posted here as "The First Step")

Plenty to be Thankful For (#4) -- Lois & Clark host Thanksgiving dinner at their home, inviting their parents, her sister, their boss (and his son), Drs. Klein and Friskin, and Jimmy, who brings his obnoxious date.  Will anyone survive the day with their sanity intact?

Murder They Wrote (#3) -- It's a Halloween costume party at the Daily Planet ... you'll never believe who Jimmy's dating ... not to mention who's there with Dr. Klein.  And who *was* that dead woman, anyway?

Happy Anniversary? (#2) -- It's L&C's second anniversary, and they've arranged to spend some "quality time" together to celebrate ... but unfortunately, the rest of the world seems to have other ideas.

Shadow & Sun (#1) --  Lois and Clark decide it's time to look into Lex Jr/Leslie's various holdings... and wouldn't you just know it, they get more than they bargained for...
