Christy Calhoun is from Painesville, Ohio but just recently moved to Fort Collins,
Colorado from California (to be with Steve :) where she works as a Web Application
Developer for Hewlett-Packard. Steve
Augustine is from Davenport, Iowa but currently lives in Fort Collins, Colorado
where he works as a Graphics Hardware Engineer for Hewlett-Packard.
How We Met
As a friend and I were getting ready to come home from a day in Denver,
we decided to stop at SportsCaster's bar. That's where Steve and I met as
his roommate tried to pick up on my friend. They didn't exactly hit it
off, but Steve and I did.
The Engagement
Steve proposed to me at a party at his house on Saturday, May 16, 1998. He
had asked several times during the party, but I didn't think he was
serious. So when he got down on both knees and asked me to marry him, I
realized that he was serious and said "Yes." Steve remembers it a little bit differently,
so you might want to ask him for the real story.
The Honeymoon
Steve and I will leave Tuesday, August 17th for 3 days in Cancun and 7 days in
Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. We're hoping to tour some Mayan ruins, do some snorkeling,
and, most of all, RELAX!
Our New Home and Registry
We just closed on our new house on Thursday, April 29th, and we are both really excited.
A picture of the new house is available, but more pictures
of the inside will be available shortly.
