My Dream of TI-99/4A

When I was a little boy, in about 1983, my dad had brought me a Home Computer from America. It was a really strange thing at the time.

What I got was a TI-99/4A Home Computer, which was small, bright, and full of high technology I had ever seen. The TI-99/4A was just like a magic box, I soon felt in love with it.

I remember, my TI-99/4A had 16KB memory, the monitor was a 14" black-white TV receiver, it could run BASIC language, no hard or floppy disk drives but a tape recorder for data storage, even more it had two game cards, one was called PARSEC, the other was MUNCH MAN.

Oh! I could not describe how great I felt at the time, the TI-99/4A was full of magic, the games were so exciting.

I remember every time when the TI-99/4A started up, the screen bellow was shown, that meant I could stay with TI-99/4A and have my most wonderful time.

Of cause, the most exciting thing was playing the games, PARSEC and MUNCH MAN, all my families were watching and greeting.

Now, I have got my Ph.D degree at E&E, my desktop computer has 64MB memory running on 200MHz, while my TI-99/4A only has 16KB memory and running on 3MHz, I always miss my TI-99/4A!
