Trip synopsis: Alan and I started out on this trip in January from Toronto to L.A. with a short stay in Hong Kong, onto Bangkok and up north into Chiang Mai. From Chiang Mai we moved onto Krabi where we found this idyllic small island called Ko Jam and later to a larger island south.. From there Alan went to to Ko Pha-Ngan for the Full Moon Rave while I headed back to Bangkok and onto Kathmandu where I'd met up with him a week later. We had tried to do a shorter hike initially into the Annapurna Sanctuary before attempting the 28-day long Annapurna Circuit, but was force to detour to Jomson instead, where we flew back to Pohkara. From there Alan decided to retrace some parts of the route to complete the Annapurna Circuit with Lisa while I'd decided to visit the Everest region instead (and setting a new personal record in not bathing for 19 days).. I then returned to Thailand and headed south to Ko Pha-Ngan for the rave before returning to Los Angeles late April.
