Deaths
There are a lot of characters in Evangelion that die throughout the story.  Here is a list of some of them.
  • Rei Ayanami (Clone #1) - Died while fighting an angel (16th).
  • Rei Ayanami (Original) - Died while insulting Naoko Akari.
  • Angels 1-17 - Each die while fighting the Evangelions.
  • Misato - Dies at the end of Evangelion, in the elevator after saying goodbye to Shinji.
  • Kaji - Members from NERV's intelligence group assassinate Kaji.
  • Kaoru/Tabris - Is a character and an angel, dies while fighting Unit 01.
  • Yui Ikari - Shinji's mother, dies before Evangelion starts, it is back history.
  • Naoko Akari - Commits suicide after killing the original Rei Ayanami
