I recently went to a "Sound of Music" sing-along and I got so inspired that I had to write my own version of one of the songs (don't mind the grammar!) This is sung to the tune of "Raindrop on Roses" (Eat your heart out Julie Andrews)!

Salmon in seaweed, and sweet little kittens
Friends gathered 'round, and my family sittings
Going on trips to see what the world brings
These are a few of my favorite things

When the world bites and the news sucks, and I'm feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things, and then I don't feel so bad

White Belgian Chocolate and Pita bread too
Hot sauce, tortillas and birds at the zoo
ABBA, good films and those Brady Bunch kids
these are a few of my favorite things

When my car dies, and I lose keys, and I'm feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things, and then I don't feel so bad

Paint brush on canvas and great music beats
Ma and Pa breakfast joints, coffee and sweets
Good films, a TV show with "Chandler Bing"

When my job sucks and I miss home and I'm feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things and then I don't feel so bad...
