"My ancestor, the Phoenicians..."

I was nourished with this phrase from my earliest school days.

I was
born in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon which is the biblical "Land of Milk and Honey" and early home of the Phoenicians, famous ancient traders and creators of the alphabet that lead the way to modern writing.

Lebanon has been the land of many other civilizations.

Influences Growing up & Transition
My language of instruction growing up was French. The spoken dialect is a Lebanese dialect (Ha! That can be a mix of 2-3 languages as some Lebanese LOVE to mix their French, Lebanese and English together... i.e. "Alors, keefak today?") and English, French and Armenian are other spoken languages. !
